Intro
Stromanthe plant frequently mistaken as it’s popular cousin, Calathea as they share many traits and can look quite similar to each other. They are both from Marantaceae family, but different genus. It’s not beginner friendly, but not too difficult to care. You will needs to have good control of the water level and sun light to grow it beautifully.
Care Guide
- Bright and indirect sunlight is the best for them. Too much sunlight will burn their leaves, while insufficient light will caused them to lose it’s vibrant color
- Watering once to twice a week. You need to keep the moisture level of the plant while not letting the soil wet for prolong period. You shall only water until the top part of the soil is wet, and let it soak up the water and dry before next watering. Rotting root is the common caused of it dead.
- It’s not considered toxic to human or pet, however consumed large quantity of it might caused vomit, nausea or lose appetite
